Improving literacy in our community starts with a solid game plan.

Read.Play.Win! literacy program

Did you know that 68 percent of fourth graders in the United States read below the proficiency level?† Those students are likely to continue to fall further behind with each passing year, and risk not even graduating from high school.

University of Phoenix has a game plan to help change that grim statistic: the Read.Play.Win!SM literacy program. But we're not doing it alone. We're teaming up with local nonprofits to encourage kids to develop strong reading skills and a desire to read more.

Why literacy matters to University of Phoenix

University of Phoenix believes in giving back to our community and getting involved. Because reading skills are critical to success in school and in life, we wanted to do something to promote literacy among our community's young people. We hope you'll join us in these efforts — because everyone wins when we help kids read.
